Property: 9 homes that you can get with Help to Buy

The Help to Buy scheme puts properties within reach of first-time buyers by lending them money towards a bigger deposit.
The Help to Buy scheme puts properties within reach of first-time buyers by lending them money towards a bigger deposit.

The Help to Buy equity loan scheme was introduced in April 2013 to assist people purchasing new build homes in England priced up to £600,000. As long as they have a 5% deposit and pass affordability checks, they can borrow up to 20% of the cost, and pay no interest for five years. In 2016 the loan was doubled to 40% in London and last year the scheme was restricted to first-time buyers only, with lower regional price caps brought in everywhere but the capital. Now it’s coming to an end and the deadline for reservations is 31st October for completions by 31st March. Stock is limited but Help to Buy’s available on all these properties, so sign up now and you’ll soon have the keys to a place of your own.
