Property: 9 new rental developments to put on your radar

Large private dining space that can be booked
Build to rent developers are really pushing the envelope in terms of what they can offer tenants, with luxurious facilities like this private dining room, cinemas and swimming pools now routine.

The size of the private rented sector has doubled over the past couple of decades and, according to the latest English Housing Survey, now accounts for 4.6 million, or nearly one in five, households.

With a slew of buy-to-let landlords expected to sell up due to rising costs, demand for homes in high-quality, purpose-built rental developments is greater than ever.

Build to rent (BTR) developments are in convenient locations, well-managed and provide a wide range of often quite luxurious facilities such as gyms, swimming pools, concierges and co-working spaces.

They run events and activities where you can get to know your neighbours, and very importantly, offer security of tenure so you won’t have to leave until you want to. Here’s a look at some of the latest launches.

1. Loxley Heights, Sheffield, from £775 pcm

Many build to rent projects offer luxurious communal spaces, not dissimilar to boutique hotels or fancy office spaces.
