Yahoo Finance Save £160 on this top-scoring Shark vacuum
If you're on the hunt for a new vacuum cleaner, this Black Friday bargain is one for you. We’ve just spotted that the Good Housekeeping Institute’s runner-up upright vacuum is currently on sale at AO, bringing the price down to £189 from £349.99.
With a score of 91/100 in GHI's tests, the Shark NZ801UKT upright vacuum cleaner is an excellent all-rounder that performs just as well on carpets as it does on hard floors
This model is especially worthwhile for those of you with long hair or if you have pets at home, as it comes with Shark’s anti-hair wrap technology. This promises to keep hairs from getting stuck in the rotating brush, so you won’t need to sit and cut any long strands out of the roller ever again.
Testers liked how the body can be detached for use as a handheld model. This is more portable and makes it easier to clean awkward spots, cobwebs, or stairs. It also has useful LED headlights so you can see all that pesky dust lurking under the sofa. The filters are washable too, which is handy – you won’t have to pay for new ones and it’s more environmentally friendly than throwing them away. Win-win!
If you’re looking for a cordless vacuum, this may not be the model for you. But it does have an eight-metre cord, which should be long enough to tackle each floor for most homes.
Really, there wasn’t much our testers disliked, other than that it’s not height-adjustable when used as an upright. That’s unlikely to be a dealbreaker, though, and the big discount means now’s an ideal time to grab this Shark vac.
