Strictly Come Dancing announces air date and celebrity guests for 'Best of' series
Strictly Come Dancing previously announced it would be broadcasting a group of special episodes and now we know when they're hitting screens and who's involved.
We know the first episode called Strictly: The Best of Movies will air at 7.30pm on Saturday 19 September on BBC One.
Strictly: The Best Of The Final is dedicated to amazing finalists and will air alongside three episodes about unforgettable favourite moments from themed weeks: Movies, Musicals and Blackpool. Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, each special will see judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli as well all the Strictly professional dancers and special guests reminisce about the iconic dances and the standout moments.
Strictly has also announced a special festive episode in the form of Strictly: The Christmas Countdown, which will reveal the 25 most memorable dances of all time voted for by the viewers.
"From the perfect 40s, the trophy-winning routines, dances that have made us laugh, and perhaps some that are remembered for other reasons - this show will have it all," Strictly said.
Presented by Tess and Claudia Winkleman, the episode will feature the judges and professional dancers as they run through the countdown.
The BBC has announced that celebrities across the series include Ore Oduba, Joe Sugg, Alex Scott, Frankie Bridge, Alexandra Burke, Debbie McGee and Reverend Richard Coles.
