'The King's Man' and 'A Quiet Place 2' the latest movies to be delayed

Kingsman franchise movie The King's Man and sci-fi thriller sequel A Quiet Place Part II are the latest movies to be shoved back in the schedules.

Matthew Vaughn's The King's Man will now not appear in March, as originally planned, and it head for an 21 August release instead.

A prequel to the previous two Kingsman films, it tells the origin story of the well-healed secret spy organisation, with Ralph Fiennes as the Duke of Oxford, alongside Gemma Arterton, Matthew Goode, Djimon Hounsou and Rhy Ifans, as Rasputin.

Meanwhile, A Quiet Place Part II, the high-concept sequel to John Krasinski's directorial debut, will now head to September, 2021, in the hope of securing a proper theatrical release.

The movie, which will pick up Emily Blunt's now-single mum continuing to navigate her way through a post-apocalyptic world filled with deadly (but blind) aliens, was previously all set for an April debut.

It will bring in Cillian Murphy to the cast, as well as (coincidentally) The King's Man star Hounsou, while Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe will reprise their roles as the Abbott children.

Krasinski will also appear in the movie in flashback scenes.

With no sign of when cinemas might reopen again, due to ongoing coronavirus lockdown measures, even a move to the summer could be open to being bumped again down the line.

The latest Bond movie No Time To Die, for example, has hedged its release even further into the future.

After a litany of reschedulings too numerous to go into here, it's now set for release on 8 October this year.
