The Huawei Band 4 Activity Tracker and watch is the ideal wellness wearable if you’re looking to put a spring back into your step.

It’ll keep track of your travels, monitor your heart rate, calculate calorie burn, and will serve casual runners well.

Why we love it

One outstanding feature is battery life. Fully charged, the Band 4 will monitor your activity for the best part of a week. Huawei cites 7 days with Heart Rate and Sleep Tracking enabled, even longer if you disable snooze snooping.

It’s cleverly designed too. A built-in USB connector means it can slot straight into a standard USB plug, which makes things a lot easier when you need to recharge. No separate cable required.

If you’ve never worn an Activity Tracker before, this Huawei design is a fine first choice. It’s very straightforward to use.

What sets it apart

The 0.96-inch display is bright and colourful, easy to read when out and about, and there’s a Night Mode to dim the display, ensuring your sleep isn’t disturbed.

Available in a choice of seven colours, with three watch faces, the Band 4 features nine sports modes, which should cover most daily activities. There’s outdoor and indoor running, walking and cycling options, plus Elliptical, Rower and Free Training. It’s also water resistant, so works happily during a rainy jog.

For a full set of diagnostics, there’s a Huawei Health app, which for iOS users will also work alongside Apple’s own Health app

You’ll get a notification if your heart rate exceeds the maximum daily rate, meaning it’s probably time to ease off the weights and have a cup of tea. Best give the cake a miss though...

What the reviews say:
