Toys R Us launches its half-price pre-Christmas sale
With just a couple of months to go before Christmas, retailers are seizing the chance to tempt shoppers with some early toy bargains.
The latest big name to join in the fun is Toys R Us, which has launched its massive clearance sale.
It is offering major discounts of up to 50% off everything from baby clothes and products, to kids’ bikes, puzzles, games and action figures.

Many of the offers are available both in-store and online, although some are online only, so it’s best to check carefully.
Among the bargains we saw were:
Star Wars: Rogue One Pop! Vinyl K-2SO Figure
£6.99 (Save 30% – was £9.99)
DC Super Hero Girls 6″ Figure 6 Pack
£39.96 (Save £30 – was £69.99)
My Little Pony Explore Equestria Crystal Empire Castle Playset

The sale and toy clearance event is on now, although it’s not clear how long it will last, so maybe it’s time to send the children off to nanny’s for the day while you hit the stores.
MORE: Toys ‘R’ Us files for bankruptcy protection in US
The future of the company is up in the air, somewhat, after it filed for bankruptcy protection in the US and Canada as it attempts to restructure its debts.
The aim is to give Toys ‘R’ Us money and time to prepare for the upcoming Christmas shopping season – but the move does not appear to have threatened any jobs on the firm’s stores outside of North America.
