Treats for less in Tesco Clubcard Boost sale

Treats for less in Tesco Clubcard Boost sale

Tesco Clubcard is launching a series of Clubcard Boost flash sales over the next four weeks with up to 70% off existing deals including cinema tickets, iTunes vouchers and railcards.

The first sale launches at noon on 12th February and it's perfect for Valentine’s Day. Members can buy an adult cinema ticket for just £2.50 of Clubcard vouchers. This would normally cost £4.50 in vouchers.

The other five sales will cover deals for Ticketmaster (16th February), iTunes (18th February), Pizza Express (23rd February), Spafinder (26th February) and National Railcards (3rd March). Details will be released 24 hours before each sale starts.

Bear in mind that numbers are limited so you'll need to act fast to get the deals.

Boosting your Clubcard points

You can earn Clubcard points on your spending wherever you shop with a Clubcard credit card.

The cards will get you five Clubcard points for every £4 you spend in-store or on Tesco fuel, and one point for every £4 you spend everywhere else. While Tesco has some excellent balance transfer cards on offer, you want to really keep your spending on balance transfer cards to a minimum, so instead the two cards to consider are the Purchases card, the Purchase card with 1,000 Clubcard points and the low APR card.

The Purchases card offers 19 months free of interest on your spending. So if you’ve got some big purchases coming up, it’s perfect. If you don't need as long to pay off your spending, the Purchase card with 1,000 Clubcard points, as the name suggests, offers 1,000 bonus points so long as you spend within the first two months. The low APR card comes with an interest rate of just 7.8% representative, and actually charges no interest on your spending in the first three months, so is well worth a look too.

You can also earn Clubcard points on everyday spending by shopping through cashback website Top Cashback.

You can get the money you earn paid in the form of cold, hard cash, or convert it into points for a range of different loyalty schemes, including Clubcard. And when you do that, you actually boost the value of your payout by 5%.

So for £10 of normal cashback you actually get a payout of £10.50 if you get it in Clubcard vouchers.

You can also earn Clubcard points by buying your petrol at Esso petrol stations (although you'll earn more points at Tesco petrol stations), blackcircles.com and daily deals website livingsocial.
