UNIT4's Founder & CEO Chris Ouwinga Voted Entrepreneur of the Year

SLIEDRECHT, THE NETHERLANDS--(Marketwired - Oct 8, 2013) - UNIT4, the global leader in software that supports business change, today announced that co-CEO Chris Ouwinga, who will become Chairman in January, has been voted winner of the Master Entrepreneur category in the Dutch Ernst & Young EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
Recognised as one of the most prestigious business award programmes in the world, the EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards celebrate the world's most innovative business leaders. Chris co-founded UNIT4 in 1980 and became CEO in 1986. Under his leadership, UNIT4 has become one of Europe's leading suppliers of business software and continues to grow and compete globally. Its flagship software brands include Agresso ERP and Coda Financials which are used by companies faced with frequent and rapid business change worldwide, and cloud software specialist FinancialForce.com. UNIT4 achieved revenue of EUR 469.8 million in 2012.
The Master Entrepreneur award is to celebrate an entrepreneur who has been the lead director for a business for a period exceeding 10 years and therefore led a long, distinguished and successful entrepreneurial career. Chris was commended for having the passion, vision and the drive to succeed and for being a compelling leader who embodies entrepreneurial spirit and who isn't afraid to take risks to drive the business forward.
