Vivendi Earnings Miss, Revenue Beats In Q1
Investing.com - Vivendi (PA:VIV) reported on Monday first quarter earnings that missed analysts' forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.
Vivendi announced earnings per share of €0.23 on revenue of €3.87B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of €0.28 on revenue of €3,582M. That with comparison to EPS of €0.18 on revenue of €3.46B in the same period a year before. Vivendi had reported EPS of €0.57 on revenue of €4.58B in the previous quarter.
Vivendi shares are down 17% from the beginning of the year , still down 19.04% from its 52 week high of €26.42 set on January 3. They are outperforming the Euro Stoxx 50 which is down 23.61% year to date.
Vivendi shares gained 3.68% in intra-day trade following the report.

Vivendi's report follows an earnings missed by Sodexo on April 9, who reported EPS of €2.55 on revenue of €5.62B, compared to forecasts EPS of €2.96 on revenue of €11,595M.
La Francaise had missed expectations on April 6 with first quarter EPS of €0.2 on revenue of €1.01B, compared to forecast for EPS of €0.23 on revenue of €2,795M.
