In the series $1K Dream Room, host Will Taylor uses a modest budget of $1,000 to turn drab spaces into dream apartments.

In this episode of $1K Dream Room, Will Taylor of Bright Bazaar is on a mission to modernize Sarah’s living room that hasn’t been updated since the 1960s. Why, you’re probably wondering? Because it was previously her grandparents home. While the apartment has “good bones,” the carpeting and decor is super dated. Taylor definitely has his work cut out for him.

Sarah wants a more playful vibe for the room with bold, bright colors. With just one day and a $1,000 budget, Taylor gets to work completely redoing the space.

With a fresh coat of white paint (and some colorful accent walls!), Sarah’s living room is brighter and more youthful. When Taylor adds a modern gray couch to the space, the room really starts to feel brand new.
