Wells Fargo (WFC) Flat As Market Gains: What You Should Know

In the latest trading session, Wells Fargo (WFC) closed at $37.38, marking no change from the previous day. This change lagged the S&P 500's daily gain of 1.44%. Elsewhere, the Dow gained 1.26%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq added 5.21%.

Heading into today, shares of the biggest U.S. mortgage lender had lost 18.38% over the past month, lagging the Finance sector's loss of 6.37% and the S&P 500's gain of 2.28% in that time.

Investors will be hoping for strength from Wells Fargo as it approaches its next earnings release, which is expected to be April 14, 2023. The company is expected to report EPS of $1.18, up 34.09% from the prior-year quarter.
