BBC Children in Need will be returning to our screens tonight to raise funds for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
Children in Need is the BBC’s UK charity, with the aim of ensuring every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood with the opportunity to reach their potential.
The 2019 fundraising campaign Get Together launched in October with a range of money-making initiatives such as the annual Children in Need duck race, and the charity covers album ‘Got It Covered’.
With stars including Olivia Colman, Helena Bonham Carter, David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker singing much-loved tunes, it was set to be number one in the UK’s Official Albums Chart before it was pulled on November 7.

What time is Children in Need 2019 on TV?
The Appeal Night show will be live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7:30pm on Friday 15th November 2019.
The programme will run until 2am, when the final fundraising total will be revealed.

How much money was raised last year?
Last year the charity telethon raised a record-breaking £50,595,093 - the most it has ever managed to raise in one evening.
Since it began in 1980, the annual Children in Need event has raised more than £1billion.
How is the money spent?
The money raised funds grants to UK projects focused on disadvantaged children and young people.
Currently Children in Need is supporting over 3,000 local charities and projects across the country, helping children face disadvantages ranging from disability, extreme poverty and deprivation, to those experiencing neglect and abuse.
Grants are awarded at six points throughout the year and there are two types available. The Main Grants Programme is for grants over £10,000 per year, and supports projects for up to three years. The Small Grants Programme caters for projects up to three years, and includes grants up to and including £10,000 per year.
The BOSP charity is one organisation which has benefited from Children in Need donations, with money providing essential music therapy for disabled children and children with life-limiting illnesses.

Which celebrities are involved this year?
The live show will be presented by Tess Daly, Ade Adepitan, Graham Norton, Mel Giedroyc, Marvin and Rochelle Humes, as well as comedian Tom Allen, who is a new addition to the hosting line-up.
You can also expect to see guest performances from a variety of celebrities taking part in live performances, sketches, music acts and fundraising films.
Highlights include the return of vintage TV kids show Crackerjack, appearances from the England football team and Countryfile presenters, and an EastEnders-themed Strictly Come Dancing special.
