One of the biggest shopping scams is when a “jumbo” claw clip is actually not a jumbo claw clip. It’s rough for all of us long-haired claw clip enthusiasts out there. Most of them can’t hold our hair at all, or if they do, they break within five uses.

Easily shoppable on Amazon, the brand claims that the pack of four jumbo claw clips features a non-slip matte grip, is super durable, will last all day long, is lightweight enough to prevent headaches and will stay put while exercising. So, is all of that true?
Speaking from personal experience as someone with thick, southern Italian curly hair down to my waist, yes. Yes, they are all true — and thank god.
As far as actual (normally ruthless) Amazon testimonials go, the jumbo claw clips are the realest of the bunch.
“I have hair down to my rear and it is VERY thick,” wrote one Amazon shopper. “I tried three different times and each time the clip grabbed all of my hair and held it securely in place. Tried it on wet hair and dry. The clip holds all my hair and doesn’t move or shake around on my head. These are a godsend!”
Another thick-haired Amazon shopper wrote, “It covers the back of my long head and accepts my crazy hair without a fight, and plenty room the spare. (Yes the size of the clip is given, but opening the box I chuckled because I wasn’t expecting them to be as big as they are lol).”
