Telecommunications services firm Lumen Technologies missed Wall Street estimates for quarterly revenue on Tuesday as customers move away from its core local wireline telephone services to wireless carriers. Lumen has a network of fiber optic and copper cables and provides cloud-based communication services and IT solutions to businesses and users, helping them manage calls, messages and video meetings via a single interface. Earlier this month, Lumen said it plans to reduce its workforce by less than 7%, which would be completed by the second quarter.
