It offers defense equipment, including military ships, marine police equipment, and public service ships; and shipbuilding and marine products comprising feeder containerships, dredgers, offshore engineering platforms, and wind power installation platforms; and marine application business products, such as energy equipment, construction machinery, and industrial internet platforms. The company also engages in the metal and non-metallic shipbuilding, ship design, shipbuilding, design and fabrication of metal structures, ship outfitting manufacture and installation, ship removal and conversion, and ship repair activities; repair, debugging, and maintenance of shipboard equipment and system; provision of engineering and technical consulting, information transmission, and software and information technology services; manufacture of equipment for railways, aerospace, and other transportation facilities; ship leasing; manufacture of offshore wind power and ocean engineering, and production of clean energy. The company was formerly known as Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited and changed its name to CSSC Offshore & Marine Engineering (Group) Company Limited in June 2015. The company was founded in 1954 and is headquartered in Guangzhou, the People's Republic of China.
