AstraZeneca aims for $80 billion in total revenue by 2030
AstraZeneca, which laid out targets as part of its investor day event, reported total revenue of $45.81 billion last year. CEO Pascal Soriot has rebuilt the company's pipeline of new drugs since taking the helm more than a decade ago, with blockbusters such as lung cancer drug Tagrisso, leukaemia drug Calquence and Farxiga for diabetes. AstraZeneca, which is facing patent expiries on some key drugs, said it would continue to invest in new technologies and platforms that will "shape the future of medicine" beyond 2030.

European stocks fall on Fed rate concerns; AstraZeneca lifts revenue target
European stock markets slipped lower Tuesday, as the positive momentum at the start of the week stalled amid concerns of U.S. interest rates staying higher for longer than expected. Trading ranges have been limited so far this week as investors waited for the release of the minutes of the Federal Reserve's latest policy meeting to gauge the timing and extent of possible interest rate cuts this year in the world’s largest economy. There are more Fed speakers to digest Tuesday, including Barr once more, as well as FOMC members Thomas Barkin, John Williams and Raphael Bostic.
