Just added more. Gonna pop or drop depending on Brazil presidential election. I like Brazil long term. BBD has a huge insurance business also. I'm invested in VALE also. Tough sledding lately but pretty good bargains.

If you check the filings for q42020 major investment banks have added to their position at the 5.2 mark. This bank stock will get to its normal levels of 7/8 dollars as Brazil picks up its vaccination rate and their economy opens up

SAO PAULO, Sept 1 (Reuters) - JPMorgan Chase & Co has reached an agreement with Brazil's Banco Bradesco SA to potentially transfer its private banking clients to the Brazilian lender, according to a document filed by Bradesco

why in the last month it has decreased by more than 10 percent ?
can someone explain to me, the price is approximately the lowest of the 6 months?
  • H
This is now at it yearly low almost…. Why not rising with rest of the market?

Ok so let me see if I am right. BBD follow one good chart and that is dollar vs real, when dollar is strong stock go down, when is weak is go up. But ofc that is logical, because we get less dollars and looking at this that why share price is so cheap, but interest rates spiked higher to 6.25% ehich is good to fight inflation, plus we have risk from china which become major player in Brazilian economy. So how this will play out? Well I think we will have some deflation and slowing in economic growth which will lead to lower price of BBD shares, but i dont think so that will last long meaby a year. It can be a good time to buy. I think meaby is to early to see the results. I know BBD is invovating and this will make them grow, so long term we should be fine and I think Brazil is in good situation. We will see, meaby i am wrong.

contemplating jumping in now. Any advice from my fellow investors?

The silence is deafening and I like it. A profitable blue chip bank is on sale and I'll take it. It just happens to be in Brazil 🇧🇷
  • F
They get to borrow from the Central Bank at 0.6 percent, wish i could get a loan that cheap, and they do not even need a loan, they are taking some just in case LOL
Lenders are allowed to raise an amount equivalent to their shareholders equity through the subordinated debt program, but Scarpelli said Bradesco, whose shareholders equity totaled 134 billion reais in December, is unlikely to borrow that much.

The annual rate on the facility is equivalent to Brazil's benchmark interest rate plus 0.6% per year, according to the central bank.

My personal favorite stock! Can't wait to see BBD hitting $8 in next couple of months!
  • G
I don't understand why the stock price is so low?
they announced that they are also giving a special dividend
What do you think about how the stock price will evolve?

The Brazilian Central Bank is killing the banks and the economy.
The Central Bank has more than doubled short term rates since
May in order to handle inflation.
But they do not understand: Collapsing currency (real) means imported
inflation on all imports (ca 25 % currency effect).
This is the only reason for inflation in Brazil.
The economy now going into recession thanks to the Central Banks policy.

BBD is a stock that can double as soon as some decent monetary policy returns.

What happened to this bank today? Why did it decrease by another 4%? It's been going down for 6 months.
