Oil stocks for long term and extraordinary returns.
    Keep your shares very tight.
Hold your position or buy in downturn if you can.

I have not posted for a while, because always we had same pattern: No sell off , just short sellers are shorting , market makers are accumulating, and block trading are happening in all oil sector stocks in last few months.
Very low volume during the days, and big block trading before bell.
Oil stock shareholders have been very resilient in all down trend created by market manipulators.

Opec+ did a great job after receiving complaints from India and Janet Yellen. Now everything is clear in favour of oil producers and nothing to complain.

Don’t forget: there won’t be any other sector in market for coming next earnings to compete in earnings!!! Even not far close!!!
All other sectors will be far far behind oil sectors for coming earnings.

    Explanation about below data:
Vol: The total volume numbers of first hand shares which is coming into market for trading. It is different than total volume that you see in yahoo or elsewhere.Because in total volume one share can change many hands between traders. But original amount of coming shares and shorted shares are constant for day.

For Canadian Stocks the volume is just for US market.

Close to 40 if not 40 in a year. Share buybacks, debt management, and allocation of funds from selling assets all major catalysts..

BP (BP.L) stock gained 3.2% on Tuesday morning in London after it said it expects to reach its $35bn ($25bn) net debt target in the first quarter of 2021.
This followed earlier-than-expected proceeds from disposals and a “very strong” quarter.

Most good stocks are at historic high, and it is difficult to find a great stock at a price close to bottom. BP is one of those rare case. BP analysts rating is darn great. They are: Schwab A Morning star : Buy CFRA: Buy. Among super major 8 stocks, BP has the best rating. Inflation is inevitable and oil is a sound investment to combat the inflationary economy. The news about BP meeting debt reduction goal a year earlier is a great news. That is why BP went up 3x of other super major 8 oil stocks. At this point, I don't think BP will go lower than $ 24. BP will not give you a drama of GME or AMC, but BP will give you sound sleep.

i'd much rather see a dividend increase or a special dividend vs. share buy backs....share buy backs only help those looking to sell BP stock vs. the other 2 options that help those NOT looking to sell BP stock (i.e. - i think a share buy back help management with stock option way more than long term BP stock owners/buyers)

Management has their work cut out..todays annoucement should have moved this at least 15% and then higher...over the next month. Massive debt reduction a year ahead of time ....actually a pre announcement of a great quarter and stock buy back kicking in.....

In order to receive the full dividend,
one has to hold for the share buybacks.

Keep holding on to this Gem. It will crawl back to mid 30s by the end of this year. UK is in total lock down and you people should understand BP has its own petrol stations across the UK. In order to have its revenue churned from both its upstream and downstream, the lockdown should come to an end and most people should be vaccinated by then. Just hold on to this beauty.

50% of old dividend will probably be used for share buybacks.
bp is trading at B.V. At current oil prices, bp should be trading at
    1.5 times B.V. with B.V. going up.

BP (NYSE:BP) Price Target Raised to $32.00 at Piper Sandler

BP hit its debt target earlier than expected. Its a true blue miracle.

If this was a normal stock market, BP would fly high after such a good news. Right now everyone just loves debt and ignore a company that is managing debt.

Debt target reached well before the earliest target - 60% of net cash flow confirmed to come back in buybacks - 5% current dividend yield - Brent at over $60 bbl - better cash flow that all its peers other than Shell - and still the stock languishes.

    The madness of markets!

Todays annoucement is not close to being realized yet...they said that their net debt target of 35 billion will be bit now....so that means that their net debt is dropping about 9 BILLION that includes a sale of 4,7 billion...THAT MEANS THAT THEIR FREE CASH FLOW WAS ABOUT 4,3 BILLION IS THIS QUARTER ALONE...ABOUT 200 MILLION BARRELS PER QUARTER ...at 20 more per barrel....this should go to the low 30s soon

bp share buybacks should do the heavy lifting
when it commences in May after shareholders give
    approval.

Debt target hit in q1! Share buybacks should kick in shortly! Going up!

What will drive BP higher is the return of driving. When that happens faster that supply can be increased, that will push up oil and gas prices.... ie: a super spike
