Tech stocks take a pause early Tuesday after the Nasdaq Composite reaches a record high in the previous session.
U.S. stock markets were headed for a broadly flat open Tuesday, with investors seemingly waiting for direction from Nvidia’s upcoming earnings and a slate of central-bank speakers. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 8 points, or less than 0.1%. S&P 500 futures were broadly flat, while Nasdaq 100 futures were down 0.1%.
Global shares retreated Tuesday, even as most U.S. stock indexes finished higher, especially technology issues like Nvidia. France's CAC 40 lost 0.7% in early trading to 8,137.16, while Germany's DAX declined 0.3% to 18,704.35.
