Mark joined Standard Life Investments in 2000 and is currently Investment Director, Emerging Markets Equities and manager of the GEM Equity Income OEIC. He previously managed portfolios in the European and then the US Equity teams of SLI. Mark graduated in Korean and Chinese at SOAS, University of London, living in Seoul for 18 months and authoring a Korean language textbook during that time. He subsequently obtained an MA and PhD from the University of Durham in Theology and Oriental Languages prior to his career in investment.
