How major US stock indexes fared Thursday, 6/20/2024
U.S. stock indexes edged back from their records, weighed down by a rare dip for Wall Street darling Nvidia, following a mixed set of reports on the economy. The Nasdaq composite also pulled back from its record, falling 0.8%. The Nasdaq composite fell 140.64 points, or 0.8%, to 17,721.59.

Markets React as U.S. Jobless Claims Fall, but Are Higher Than Expected
U.S. equity futures were mostly holding steady after weekly jobless claims declined but came in higher than expected. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were a touch lower but still hovering around breakeven. S&P 500 futures were up 0.2%.
