Delays at Channel Tunnel Snarl Traffic in Southeast England

Travelers were left stranded in their vehicles for hours on October 23, as mass delays for Eurotunnel trains in Folkestone led to traffic congestion in southeast England.

Many took to social media to complain about the lengthy delays, which Eurotunnel Shuttle said were due to “tunnel maintenance works on the overhead power supply.”

Wendy Hurrell shared this video outside the Eurotunnel facility in Folkestone, which she said was taken after waiting for several hours. “On the plus side,” wrote Hurrell, “my child has learned to yo-yo.”
