Firefighters Carry Out Controlled Burns to Combat Green Wattle Creek Fire

Firefighters throughout New South Wales battled multiple blazes on December 7, including the Green Wattle Creek fire in Wollondilly and the Three Mile fire along the Central Coast.

This footage, uploaded to the Facebook page of the Camden West Rural Fire Brigade, shows teams at work conducting controlled burns at Silverdale, to help stop fueling the fires.

One hundred and fifty firefighting units were on the ground in Wollondilly monitoring the situation, according to The Wollondilly Advertiser. At least seven emergency warnings were enacted in other areas of New South Wales, including Howes Valley, Kerry Ridge, and Green Wattle Creek, according to a report from news.com.au.
