Portland Man Charged After Alleged ‘Homophobic’ Assault in Parking Lot

Police in Portland, Maine, said a man was charged with assault after an argument in a supermarket parking lot escalated.

Alana Reali alleged in a Facebook post, that she’d been the victim of a “homophobic” attack at a Shaw’s in North Deering on July 3.

The alleged attacker, she claimed, called her a “f***ing f*****”, put her in a chokehold and punched her.

Video shows her with a sore ankle, which police said was injured as she ran from the alleged attacker.
