Winter Wonderland as Storm Whitens English Midlands

Southern England and the Midlands woke to a winter wonderland on Saturday, November 27, as Storm Arwen brought snow.

The UK Met Office issued a yellow weather warning, valid until 10 am, forecasting the snow to “ease and move away to the south” over hours after that.

Twitter user @WxMids posted this footage, where his cat Summer can be seen delighting in the white garden.

A rare red warning remained in force that morning for coastal eastern Scotland and northeast England, with the public in those areas urged to only travel if “absolutely essential”. Credit: @WxMids via Storyful
