Women's Triathlon attracts enthusiasts despite ban

A storm off Japan's east coast remained a threat to the Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday, despite not battering the host city with devastating winds

and rain as initially feared.

Wind and rain sweeping Tokyo Bay delayed the start of the women's triathlon early in the morning, and the storm could threaten two medal

games for softball later in the day.

But eager to get a taste of the Olympic fever, some made it, dressed in their teams' colours and holding national flags as athletes cycled

passed.

"We woke up at 5.30 am to try to rush here, just to do it, so we can say we did it once," said Tokyo resident Nathalie Lim who came with her

family.
