Baldo, who is stepping down from his position, managed to register annual double-digit growth at Ganni and a developed retail presence during his time at the brand.

“Andrea has been an integral part of Ganni’s journey, steering us through both challenges and opportunities with unmatched dedication. His vision has been crucial in shaping what Ganni is today. We are immensely thankful for his leadership and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” said Nicolaj Reffstrup, founder of Ganni.

Before du Rusquec joined Balenciaga, she held positions at Gucci and its parent company Kering.

“I am thrilled to join Ganni at such a pivotal time and to continue building on the brand’s strong foundation. Ganni’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and their progressive approach to luxury is exactly what the future of fashion needs. I look forward to leading the talented team toward new heights and further global expansion,” du Rusquec said in a statement.

“Laura’s extensive experience in EMEA and global markets with specialty in luxury equips her with unique insights and strategies, ideal for leading Ganni into its next phase of growth and brand innovation,” said Eduardo Velasco, partner at the company’s owner, private equity firm L Catterton, which has backed brands including Birkenstock, Etro and A.P.C.

Reffstrup and his wife Ditte Reffstrup bought Ganni from Frans Truelsen in 2009, who founded Ganni in Copenhagen in 2000 as a cashmere apparel label. Ganni currently operates more than 45 stores worldwide and offers e-commerce services to 35 countries.

The brand’s headquarters are located in Copenhagen with offices in London, New York, Shanghai and Paris.

Du Rusquec will be based at Ganni’s Paris office.
